Texas Tech quarterback Behren Morton exited Saturday’s clash against Utah early in the third quarter after taking a big hit from a Ute defender. He did not return to the game, but the Red Raiders went on to win 34-10.
Morton was replaced by backup quarterback Will Hammond, who played nearly the entire second half. He helped guide his team to the win, completing 13/16 passes for 169 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. Prior to Morton’s afternoon-ending injury, he boasted just 142 passing yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions.
