Spooky Fun Awaits at West Allis’ Haunted Honey Creek Event with Ghostly Activities for the Whole Family

As the days shorten and the nights grow cold, West Allis residents can look forward to warming themselves with the thrills and chills of the upcoming Haunted Honey Creek event. Scheduled for Friday, Oct. 24 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., the Honey Creek Park, located at 8405 W. National Ave., is set to transform into a spooky wonderland, complete with a range of eerie activities fit for the whole family. According to the City of West Allis website, this year’s edition includes flashlight cemetery tours and an outdoor screening of the classic film, “Ghostbusters”, in collaboration with West Allis-West Milwaukee Recreation & Community Services.

Fearsome festivities will also feature photo opportunities with the Wisconsin Ghostbusters and their iconic Ecto-1 car, and live music by Sweet Sheiks and Caleb Westphal, DJ. Lovers of the supernatural can join the Paranormal Investigators of Milwaukee or sit by a campfire to listen to ghost stories while indulging in s’mores. A day earlier, on Thursday, Oct. 23, from 4 to 7 p.m., attendees can also help to intricately carve out pumpkins for the event’s display. To really immerse themselves in the history and the haunts, visitors can take self-guided tours of the West Allis Historical Society, as mentioned on the City of West Allis official announcement.

The Haunted Honey Creek event is also an occasion for local businesses to showcase their products at the Eerie Emporium. A variety of vendors will set up shop, and for those with an appetite, there will be wicked eats and bone-chilling beer available in the Fear Garden. The culinary offerings include delights from EZ Tiki, Fiddlesticks Kettle Corn & Lemonade, Flour Girl & Flame, Flip’s Mini Donuts, The Ladle Lady, and My Aunties Kitchen, as well as brews from OPE! Brewing Co. Additionally, for ease of travel around the park’s attractions, there will be a hay ride shuttle service. Bringing forth your most fiendish costumes is encouraged to add to the festivity’s ghoulish ambience…
