Pedestrian Hospitalized After Deliberate Hit-and-Run in Oak Creek, Suspect Arrested Following Multi-County Chase

A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in what the Oak Creek Police Department has described as an intentional act steaming from a property dispute. The incident, which occurred on Monday in the 9800 block of South 27th Street, prompted a police pursuit that ended with the suspect’s arrest in Kenosha County. According to WISN, officers arrived on the scene around 12:13 p.m. to find the victim who had been hit on purpose and was then rushed to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Shortly after the on-foot altercation took to the streets, the Oak Creek Police located the suspect’s vehicle. When attempting to pull the driver over the suspect fled, and a pursuit ensued that was later abandoned near Interstate 94 and the Racine County line. A statement obtained by the Journal Sentinel confirmed the handoff in jurisdiction where, after initiating their pursuit, the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office was able to apprehend the suspect. The pursuit, however, continued for a time before the subject was caught.

The Kenosha County Jail is now holding the suspect. The Oak Creek Police Department has noted that charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office. As the investigation is still in motion, no further details have been released at this time as indicated in reports from local news outlets…
