I lived in downtown Shreveport for a little over a year, and I remember hearing all the ghost stories that supposedly haunt the quiet area. You know the ones, the buildings with strange happenings, and of course, the crazy theory that Elvis Presley’s ghost haunts the Shreveport Municipal. But come on, how haunted can a place like Shreveport really be?

Unfortunately for me, I quickly discovered that I’m more like Courage the Cowardly Dog when it comes to facing my ghost fears.
The thought of all the creepy things that happen inside the Shreveport Municipal makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. But I was even more shocked when I found out that many folks in Shreveport swear there’s a building that’s even more haunted than the Municipal. One that I would walk past every single weekend when walking to get my Rhino Coffee fix.
Is a Different Downtown Building the Real Hotspot?
Even though the “Ghost Hunters” TV show came to Shreveport to perform a paranormal investigation at the Municipal, many locals are convinced they went to the wrong building. Could it be that we focused on the wrong location all along? Perhaps we needed to look across the street.
