4 beers, 5 vodka shots, 0.28 blood alcohol: Man pleads guilty to 2024 vehicular homicide

A Mooringsport man entered a plea of guilty Thursday in a 2024 case of vehicular homicide and first-degree vehicular negligent injuring.

According to information from Shreveport Police Department documents, Scott Millis, admitted and surveillance video confirmed he drank four beers and five shots at a north Shreveport lounge on Jan. 11, 2024, before driving along North Market Street in a Jeep Wrangler with its headlights turned off.

Millis, 49, will serve 20 years in prison for the homicide, based on the sentence delivered by Caddo District Judge Chris Victory. He will serve five years, concurrently to the other, for the vehicular negligent injuring…
