Man arrested for alleged possession of 26K fentanyl pills

UTAH, Sept. 24, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — A Northern Utah resident was arrested Tuesday after approximately 25,000 pills that field tested positive for fentanyl were found in his residence, and another 1,000 were found in his vehicle.

Carlos Daniel Martinez Elvir, 23, was arrested for investigation of alleged trafficking of fentanyl or fentanyl-related substances, a first-degree felony.

The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Davis County Drug Task Force and the Wasatch Metro Drug Task into a known drug-trafficking organization, arrest documents say…
