Juvenile Suspects Face Charges in Western Washington Swatting Incident

ISSAQUAH, WA – The Issaquah Police Department has submitted charges against two juveniles in connection with a dangerous swatting incident that triggered a large law enforcement response earlier this year.

In April, officers responded to a 911 call reporting a violent domestic situation with a firearm at a residence in the Issaquah Highlands. The report claimed that family members were being threatened inside the home. Police immediately secured the area, but it was quickly determined that no crime had occurred. The resident confirmed the children were out of state at the time, and the call was false.

Detectives launched a months-long investigation using phone forensics, surveillance footage, and multiple search warrants. Investigators determined that the false call was made from a “911-only” phone near the residence.
