A 28-year-old Boston resident was killed when he was moving a stack of plywood at his workplace, a millwork shop that caused a fatal head injury.
Authorities identified the victim as David Morais, who was killed Sept. 23 at Materia Millwork, 254 Bodwell St., Avon, Massachusetts. Avon Police Department Chief Jeffrey J. Bukunt said that police and fire department personnel responded to a 911 call at approximately 2:56 p.m. on Sept. 23. The caller reported an industrial accident involving a man with a head injury. Avon first responders arrived at the scene and discovered an adult male inside the business suffering from fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
