Habitat and Moog Dedicate Sprenger Avenue Home

Habitat for Humanity Buffalo has finished a new home at 154 Sprenger Avenue in partnership with Moog. Moog sponsored the production of the home in the Schiller Park neighborhood and supplied more than a thousand volunteer hours towards its completion. Volunteers from Moog and the community helped support Habitat staff construct the home in every phase of the production.

“These are the moments that make what we do here at Habitat special, and we couldn’t do this without are amazing partnerships”, said Habitat Interim Executive Director Lynn O’Connor. “To see another family who has worked so hard to overcome numerous challenges and reach this achievement with a smile on their face is one thing. But to also know that community partners like Moog dedicated so many resources to make this day possible over the past year, we couldn’t be more grateful.”

Joe Alfieri, who is the President of Space and Defense at Moog Inc, acknowledges that the partnership goes well beyond just improving the life of one family, but all those involved to get to this point.

“On behalf of Moog, it is an honor to celebrate this important milestone alongside our partners at Habitat for Humanity. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to building stronger communities and creating lasting impact. Seeing Moog employees contribute their time and skills to the construction of this home has been deeply rewarding. Their efforts represent more than volunteerism—they embody the spirit of unity and purpose. This home stands as a testament to what can be achieved when people come together to support one another.”…
