BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. (KCTV) – Emergency responders reported some students and a bus driver were injured after a school bus crashed into a Blue Springs business on Thursday morning.
The Central Jackson County Fire Protection District told KCTV5 that the bus crashed into the Comfort Dental business near the intersection of U.S. Highway 40 and Missouri Highway 7 about 6:45 a.m.
Fire officials stated three Blue Springs South High School students were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. In all, 12 to 15 students were on board at the time of the crash.
The driver was also transported with minor injuries.
Based on preliminary police investigation, the bus driver had the right of way and was making a legal turn when another car failed to yield, causing the two to collide. The bus driver subsequently lost control, jumped the curve, and ran into the Comfort Dental building, narrowly missing a gas meter…
