SCOTT, La. (KLFY) — A bolt of lightning was close enough to a house in Scott to cause a power surge that fried several electrical components in the home, officials said.
The Scott Fire Department was dispatched to a reported residential fire at 7:27 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of Santiago Court.
Firefighters entered the home and observed light smoke throughout the residence, and that several electrical devices and lights were not functioning properly.
