NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Our highest rain chance of the week is coming up over the next 24 to 36 hours as a weak front crosses the area.
Expect storms to increase in coverage by this afternoon as daytime heating kicks in and radar turns more active. There will be a chance for a few stronger storms with heavy rains, lightning and gusty winds your biggest threats. The overall severe weather risk with this front remains low.
Overnight there will be a lull in activity but first thing Thursday morning brings the possibility of another round of storms. That morning activity could impact your commute on Thursday so we’ll be paying attention to the exact timing…
