NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – A new judge will be on the bench of the New Mexico Court of Appeals after taking office on Wednesday. Judge Kristopher Houghton is a U.S. Air Force Reservist who earned his law degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law and served as an attorney for the United States Department of Justice for more than a decade.

On Wednesday, he donned the robes of the late New Mexico Supreme Court Justice Charles W. Daniels, whom he clerked for from 2008 to 2010.
