The Aug. 1 shooting death of a masked man accused of ATM theft in Murfreesboro involved a customer perceiving an armed threat, according to a criminal warrant.
“A customer inside the store at the time of the incident felt that the masked suspect was armed and forcing entry into the store with a weapon,” said the warrant obtained through a public records request from The Daily News Journal from the Rutherford County Circuit Court office.
“The customer fired his handgun two times at the subject who was forcing entry into the store (7-Eleven Exxon on East Northfield Boulevard) through the broken window.”…
