Deputy shot twice while responding to 911 call at North Carolina gas station

LELAND, N.C. (WBTV) – A deputy was shot twice during a 911 call at a North Carolina gas station this week.

The shooting happened around 5 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 22 at the Marathon on Mercantile Drive, which is right off Highway 74.

The 911 call was put in by a gas station clerk after a person refused to leave, the Brunswick County Sheriff Brian Chism said in a video. When deputies got there, they tried to talk with the person, who then pulled out a gun and started shooting at deputies…
