CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The City of Corpus Christi’s Auditor’s Office has failed its latest external peer review, raising serious questions about independence, oversight and compliance with government auditing standards, according to the report.
3NEWS obtained the review, which examined the office’s work from January 2021 through December 2023. The report concluded that the office’s quality control system was “not adequately designed and was not operating effectively” to ensure compliance with Government Auditing Standards.
