Reno Police issue 180 traffic citations during school safety zone campaign

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Eight officers from the Reno Police Department Traffic Division conducted enforcement operations in active school zones from Monday, Aug. 11, through Thursday, Sept. 18, which resulted in 180 traffic citations and 46 warnings.

“We focused our efforts on drivers and pedestrians that were violating those laws which enhance pedestrian safety,” according to a Wednesday, Sept. 24, Reno Police Department news release.
