ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Dozens of volunteers gathered at Highland Brewing on Thursday evening to pack backpacks filled with essentials for children across Western North Carolina, marking the one-year milestone of Hurricane Helene.
Bank of America partnered with the nonprofit Feed the Children to organize the event, which was part of the “Heroes of Helene” community gathering.
