COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – Much needed rain is still on track to move through Thursday and Friday as a cold front approaches. A drying trend is in store for the weekend as the system starts pushing east.
Mostly cloudy, sticky and a bit breezy on this Thursday. Wet weather moves in at times. A few showers will be around during the morning, but the best coverage of rain and storms is expected during the afternoon and evening. Rain will be heavy in spots. Highs reach the low to mid 80s.
Staying overcast Thursday night with a chance of showers. Lows early Friday near 70 degrees.
Scattered showers and a few storms return Friday at any time of the day. Overall rain coverage should be a little lower than Thursday. Highs in the low 80s. Between Thursday and Friday, most of us should get at least a half inch to an inch of rain. A few spots could get more. Highs in the low 80s Friday.
A few showers may linger Saturday, but the best chance will likely be the farther east you live. Clouds should eventually mix with more sun as the day goes on. We’ll have lows in the 60s and highs in the mid 80s.
