NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Metro Nashville Police Department said an 18-year-old was taken into custody on several charges, including outstanding warrants related to domestic violence incidents.
Police said detectives with the TITANS Unit found Brandon Grigsby at his mom’s house on Holland Lane Wednesday night. There, Grigsby got into the passenger seat of a BMW with a 16-year-old driver. Though authorities initiated a traffic stop, the driver allegedly tried to flee.

The MNPD said the BMW was disabled and both Grigsby and the teen driver were taken into custody on Interstate 24 East near Briley Parkway. The 16-year-old was charged with felony evading arrest in Juvenile Court.
Officers said they discovered about 40 grams of marijuana and an ID in a backpack in the BMW’s backseat, along with a pistol on the floorboard.
Two grand jury indictments against Grigsby were related to a May aggravated assault involving his pregnant girlfriend. According to Metro police, she told them Grigsby “choked and kicked her before he attempted to stab her in the stomach.” In addition, he reportedly fired shots into the air, threatening “to shoot up the home” after the victim got him out of the residence.
