San Francisco neighborhood named one of ‘coolest’ in the world

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A San Francisco neighborhood being named as one of the “coolest” in the world may come as little surprise. Except, in this case, it’s not the eternally hipster Mission District, buzzy Hayes Valley, trendy Jackson Square, or any of the other usual suspects.

The SF neighborhood that’s been deemed among the world’s coolest in Time Out’s awkwardly numbered “39 Coolest Neighborhoods in the World in 2025” is not necessarily one that at first glance, screams cool. But according to the publication’s editors, Glen Park is currently the world’s 35th coolest neighborhood.

Nestled just south of Twin Peaks bumped up against the more overtly trendy Noe Valley, Glen Park is described by Time Out as “a good-looking place.”

“Hastily built after the 1906 earthquake, you’ll find turn-of-the-century architecture and Mission-style homes, not to mention lofty views with fog seasonally crawling up the street thick as a blanket,” Time Out wrote. The neighborhood’s highlight, according to the publication, is Glen Canyon Park, “a rambling green space of 66 acres with a deep canyon, spring wildflowers, one of the city’s last free-flowing creeks and wildlife including coyotes and deer.”…
