LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — On Wednesday, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) reported that new rules could be on the way for federal food and nutrition services, specifically proposed changes to what stores must stock to accept EBT payments.
“We know that about 8% of Arkansans, or really, about 250,000 people, depend on SNAP. That’s a lot of people who are trying to make ends meet on a daily basis,” George Brown, Associate Communications and Engagement Manager, said.
That means many rely on Snap for basic groceries…
