ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – No criminal charges will be filed against a Winnebago County jail corrections officer following the death of an inmate.
Tanya Gonzalez, 40, was found unresponsive on the floor of her cell on March 5, 2025. Despite life-saving measures, she died a local hospital.
