SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A man accused of breaking into someone’s home and beating him for about an hour in 2024 has pleaded guilty to three felonies on Thursday, Sept. 25.
Under a plea agreement, 45-year-old Dinzel J. Coble, II, from Springfield, admitted to one count each of first-degree assault, first-degree burglary and first-degree kidnapping, according to online court records. Coble is schuedled to be sentenced on Nov. 21, 2025.

On Feb. 24, 2024, Springfield police were called to a reported assault in the 700 block of E. Sunshine Street, according to the probable cause statement. SPD said the victim was bleeding from the face when officers contacted him, and later said he suffered significant head and neck injuries, along with cuts and severe bruising.
The victim told police at around 10 p.m. that night, he had answered the door for who he thought was his estranged wife. It was instead Coble, the uncle of his estranged wife, who forced himself into the victim’s home and started hitting him…
