BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Cadets from the U.S. Military Academy visiting Boise this week for the American Society for Engineering Management (ASEM) annual conference. Starting their trip with a tour of the Micron campus.
Micron has a Veterans Employee Resource Group (VERG). This is a group of Micron employees who have all served in the military. The VERG helps veterans with the transition from service to civilian life.
Some members of this group held a panel discussion with the cadets. Sharing experiences from their time in the military and how they are applying the skills they learned to their careers at Micron.
“This is super cool that we get to see, you know, people that we admire to be and then how they transitioned out of it, and are supporting the civilian sector, I think that’s incredible,” said Cadet Logan Dosan.
Cadets had the opportunity to ask questions of the panelists, ranging from advice for when they fully start their military service, asking about the transition from active duty to civilian life, to more technical questions about how Micron operates and what their goals for the industry might be…
