HOV perk for electric car owners set to end next week
Arizonans who use alternative fuel vehicles won’t be allowed to drive solo in the HOV lanes during restricted times starting on Oct. 1. ADOT says there are about 160,000 vehicles in the state with the “clean air” plate that lets drivers go into the HOV lanes by themselves during certain times. Because it’s a federal law expiring, only Congress can change it. Karina Rubio has more.
