CPRD board member eyes Position 3 post held by term-limited Mary Starrett
The race for spots on the Yamhill County Board of Commissioners is in its infant stage and has yet to draw much attention in the two weeks since candidates have been able to file for the positions.
Two spots will be on the ballot when the May 19 primary election rolls around: Position 1, currently held by Kit Johnston, and Position 3, filled for the past 11 years by Mary Starrett.
Johnston has yet to announce whether he will run for a second term, while Starrett cannot run for reelection under the county’s three-term rule…
