BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A jury this week returned a mixed verdict against a man accused of shooting at Bakersfield police officers, finding him guilty of assault with a gun but deadlocking on charges of attempted murder of a peace officer, according to court records.
In total, jurors convicted Steven Armando Jimenez on 11 felony and two misdemeanor counts, records show. They hung on four counts — including the two attempted murder counts — and acquitted him of brandishing a gun.
