More Rain to Come, A look into your Weekend!

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – The weekend is so close! I know you’re just as excited as I am! Unfortunately, the rain chances continue into both Saturday and Sunday. As of right now, models are showing greater chances for multiple rounds of showers that cover most of the viewing area on Saturday.

Sunday looks more isolated, but still can’t rule out a few showers. Even though Sunday will be dryer, it will also be warmer. If you like those cooler temps, you may enjoy Saturday a bit more. Here’s your weekend forecast

HURRICANE HUMBERTO

Humberto has developed into a category 3 hurricane and is expected to become a category 4 hurricane is no time! Humberto is now our third major hurricane this season. The models keep Humberto in the Atlantic and away from the east coast, but dangerous rip currents are expected.

TROPICAL CYCLONE NINE

AL94 is currently impacting the Turks and Caicos Islands and the southeast Bahamas. This system is expected to form into a tropical depression over the weekend as tracks over the rest of the Bahamas, however there is still a lot of uncertainty on the development of this storm. The models are currently predicting this storm to reach the southeast coast of the United States early next week.
