NCPD reviewing alleged incident between officer, juvenile during disturbance call

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – An investigation is underway in North Charleston regarding an incident between a juvenile and an officer.

The North Charleston Police Department said its officers responded to a disturbance regarding an allegedly armed male at a CVS store on Ashley Phosphate Road just after 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

Officials said the individual was detained despite a brief struggle and added that no one was injured, nor was a weapon found. The juvenile was released to a parent with charges of assault third degree and breach of peace…
