Fayetteville hosting 47th annual International Folk Festival this weekend

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — The weather is a concern for organizers this weekend for the 47th Annual International Folk Festival in Fayetteville.

“We are definitely monitoring the weather. Everything is on schedule. The parade will begin at 10 a.m., and if anything should change, we will make sure we get that information out to the public,” said Miles McKeller-Smith of the Fayetteville Arts Council.

The Fayetteville Arts Council is organizing the event that starts Saturday morning with a Parade of Nations in Downtown Fayetteville. The festival starts at noon at Festival Park with live music, food from 30 nations, and other entertainment vendors…
