The Federal Bureau of Investigation has opted to double the reward to $20,000 for information leading to the whereabouts of three individuals who vanished from Knoxville between late 2017 and early 2018. The trio — Bonnie Drane, William Inklebarger, and Brenda Carroll — were last seen under mysterious circumstances. This increase comes as new evidence has been discovered and submitted for DNA analysis by the Knoxville Police Department, as reported by WVLT.
According to WATE, the FBI is offering this reward not only for information on the trio’s whereabouts but also potentially to lead to the identification, arrest, and conviction of whoever is responsible for their disappearance or death. The agency first put forth a $10,000 reward back in 2024, but has decided now to substantially increase that amount in the hopes of generating new leads.
Drane, described as around 5′7″ tall, with brown eyes and brown hair, was last seen at UT Medical Center on December 27, 2017. Inklebarger, a 6′ male with hazel eyes and black hair, disappeared after being seen by his father on December 29, 2017.
