KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Multiple wrecks jammed up traffic on the interstates in Knoxville on Thursday after a bout of rain swept through parts of East Tennessee.
According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, a multi-vehicle wreck on I-40 West left two of the four lanes closed with emergency crews responding near Papermill Drive. A view from the TDOT SmartWay camera showed at least one ambulance and two firetrucks at the scene.
