On Friday, Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall announced the indictment of Charles Nathan “Nick” Nickelson, 60, a retired Huntsville police officer and former coordinator for Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers, on a felony ethics charge alleging he used his official position for personal gain.
Court documents say Nickelson took “all or a portion” of $25,520 that should have gone to paying credible tipsters, a Class B felony carrying a possible 2 to 20 years in prison if convicted. The case is being handled by the AG’s Special Prosecutions Division…
