A Syracuse staple for more than four decades is starting a new chapter. Joey’s Italian Restaurant, long known as a game-day destination for Orange fans and families, has officially opened a brand-new $5 million building just across the parking lot from its original location.
General Manager Robert Ledezma said the move was about balancing tradition with modernization.
“We obviously wanted old Joey’s, which has been there since the early 80s, great tradition in Syracuse,” Ledezma said. “It’s an iconic restaurant in Syracuse, so we wanted to keep all of those traditions and update the facility.”…
