AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department has issued a warning regarding a planned illegal street takeover event, “1K Mega Meet,” scheduled for Friday night.
The department stated on a Facebook post, “Austin Police Department will not tolerate reckless driving or illegal activity. Anyone participating in a street takeover will be subject to arrest, and their vehicle will be impounded.”
