Happy National Pancake Day!
While IHOP has their own National Pancake Day early in the year, the “official” National Pancake Day is on September 26th. We are celebrating today’s delicious holiday by highlighting some of the great pancakes at amazing local restaurants here in the Corridor!
Courtlin’s Favorite
My personal choice for the best pancakes in the Corridor is definitely Lucky’s on 16th in the Czech Village. Not only are they the size of your face (for REAL), but they’re also DELICIOUS. Seriously. If I ate two of those pancakes, I think I would be full for the rest of the day! Below is a photo, but I don’t feel like it truly does the pancake justice.
Brain’s Favorite
If you were to ask Brain, I think he would agree that Lucky’s has incredible pancakes, but there’s another place we’ve gone for Listener Lunch that deserves some recognition, too. Tiffy Jo’s Diner & Energy Bar in Cedar Rapids has Nutella & Banana Stuffed Pancakes, and both Brain and his daughter RAVE about them. You just can’t go wrong with Nutella!
