Seventh grade students in Pleasant Grove bring Hispanic Heritage Month to life

The library at Dallas ISD’s School for the Talented and Gifted was turned into a living ‘wax museum’, as seventh-grade students brought their research to life.

“It’s almost showtime, guys,” dual language teacher Patricia Cortez said as her students finished setting up their displays and fixing their costumes. Each student dressed as the person they researched.

“I’m Adina De Zavala,” Danna Ramirez said, wearing a long gown. “She was a teacher, and she also was someone who saved the Alamo from destruction.”…
