LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A Little Rock woman pleaded guilty to Medicaid fraud in a Little Rock courtroom on Wednesday.
Attorney General Tim Griffin said 30-year-old Ameshia Burt of Little Rock pleaded guilty to a single count of fraud. She was sentenced to a suspended six-month jail sentence, $500 fine, plus court costs and ordered to pay $752 to the Arkansas Medicaid Program.

Officials stated that Burt was a caregiver who billed Medicaid for services she allegedly provided while the patient was in the hospital, despite the services never being rendered.
