Two St. Louis area siblings, Alexandria Collins and Wayne M. Collins, have been sentenced for their roles in a large-scale fraud and identity theft operation. Alexandria Collins had prior involvement in a 2020 fraud case, while Wayne Collins was on supervised release for a previous firearm theft conviction. Both were sentenced by U.S. District Judge Stephen R. Clark, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri reports.
The investigation began in 2023 when a probation officer found a phone containing evidence of identity theft and wire fraud, including a counterfeit driver’s license with Wayne Collins’ photo but another person’s information. The phone also implicated Alexandria Collins in fraudulent vehicle loans, counterfeited documents, and the shipment of controlled substances through the mail.
Alexandria Collins was sentenced to 146 months in prison and ordered to pay nearly $450,000 in restitution. Wayne Collins received a 141-month sentence and was ordered to repay over $134,000.
