You may have read that coffee chain Starbucks announced on Thursday plans to close hundreds of stores this month — about 1% of its locations in North America.
I’m working to find out how many stores in the Wichita area will be affected, and so far, I can find just one: An employee at the Goddard Starbucks, which just opened two years ago, said that the store will close for good at the end of business on Saturday.
Employees contacted at a couple of other local stores said that they’re being told the Goddard Starbucks might be the only one in the Wichita area that will be closing.
