Small plane crash near Battle Ground leaves no survivors

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A small plane crashed and left no survivors near Goheen Airport, northwest of Battle Ground, Washington, on Friday afternoon, authorities said.

Clark-Cowlitz Fire and Rescue confirmed to KOIN 6 News that firefighters responded to the reported crash just after 1 p.m., arriving within minutes. When they arrived, crews found that a small aircraft was “fully involved in fire,” a spokesperson for Clark-Cowlitz Fire said.

Firefighters stopped the aircraft fire, which occurred near the runway of the airport, from spreading to the surrounding grass, quickly extinguishing it.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office said at least one person died in the incident, though their identity is currently unknown…
