ANCHORAGE, AK (Alaska’s News Source) – A beautiful Fall day for Anchorage and parts of southcentral Alaska Thursday, while others parts of the region saw increasing clouds and rain showers.
A large low pressure system is rotating south of the state, just off the coast of the eastern Kenai peninsula. This has kept moisture rotating into the eastern half of the region, while Anchorage for example was far enough to the west to be in sunshine. North winds aided in clearing the state’s largest city and the western side of the Kenai Peninsula Thursday.
Heavy rain hit parts of the North Gulf coast. Yakutat saw 2.41 inches of rain and Sitka had .93 inches…
