ALBANY, NY (WRGB) — Albany, NY (WRGB) — Neighbors of Crestwood Court are still in disbelief following a confession of guilt from Lorenz Kraus for killing his parents and burying them in the backyard. For Kate Calabrese, who lives next door to the Kraus home, the news was shocking but not surprising.
When Calabrese first heard of Lorenz Kraus’s admission to killing his parents, all she had to say was, “I knew it.” She says she had an inkling something was wrong when she hadn’t seen the couple for a few years, but feared her suspicions were correct.
“I almost, as a human, want to believe that, because if he did do it as a mercy killing, if they did decide that they’re gonna do it as a family, he did keep them on the property. So, I mean, he wasn’t wrong about that. So, if that did actually happen and he did do it in that manner, then it brings me a little bit of peace that it wasn’t scary for them if that’s how he did it,” Calabrese said…
