CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – Hurricane Humberto is expected to stay well off the East coast, but a second area of tropical weather near the Bahamas (Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine) is prompting concern heading into next week.

Most models indicate that Tropical Storm Imelda will form over the Bahamas and begin to move northward over the weekend. Models are in a lot of disagreement over the eventual path of Imelda due to an upper low positioned over the Southeast, high pressure to the north and Hurricane Humberto.
