CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Kenwood Knights traveled to Northwest High School for the Vikings’ homecoming game and a Region 7-5A matchup on Friday. The two teams traded punts early, with the first quarter coming to a close scoreless. However, to kick off the second quarter, Knights quarterback Christian James broke free for a touchdown run, then found Chris Simpson on the next drive two minutes later for a touchdown through the air.

Before the first half was over, James found Jayde Davis in the corner of the endzone for another score, and the Knights had scored three touchdowns in six minutes to hold a 19-0 lead at the half.

“We got our quarterback back from injury, and that was huge,” said Kenwood head coach Jarhett Snead. “James is a doggone good ball player, and we’re glad to have him back.
