Huntsville once again grew geographically this week, although this growth spurt was a little modest compared to other annexations this year.
The City Council approved the annexation of about 24 acres on Thursday, pushing the total taken in this year to about 2,300 acres, the most in any year since 2008, when the city annexed nearly 10,000 acres.
