Manager says team was ‘blindsided’ by Iron Hill Brewery’s decision to close all locations

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — After Iron Hill Brewery announced it would be closing all of its locations, the manager of a Lancaster location said workers were “blindsided” by the announcement.

The closures came as a shock to Alisia Lara, who dedicated the last 10 years of her life to the brewery. Lara started as a server but spent around the last eight years as a front-of-house manager.

Lara said she first found out her workplace would be closing Thursday morning when she woke up to find nearly 35 texts from friends asking if she was okay and what had happened…
