Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity kicks off ‘Rock the Block’ as volunteer projects benefit local neighborhood

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity kicked off the second-annual Rock the Block on Thursday morning with volunteers beautifying much of the Fisk Addition Neighborhood.

The three-day event sends volunteers to over two dozen work sites in a specific neighborhood, who go out to clean up yards, provide fresh paint to siding, perform maintenance to the exteriors and even pressure wash the sidewalks.

The Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity says the program is part of its mission to provide hand-ups by supporting affordable homeownership and keeping the legacies of older neighborhoods fresh.
