LUBBOCK, Texas – A Texas mother, Casey Daniel, faced a dire situation when her 6-year-old son, Witten, was hospitalized and unable to breathe on his own after a severe flu turned life-threatening.
Doctors discovered a rare cluster of blood vessels bleeding in his brainstem, leaving Witten unable to walk, talk, or breathe without assistance. Despite being told her son might never recover, Casey refused to give up hope.
